ACT! Hello World Plugin Request

Hello Guys,

I am running Act! Premium 2013 and I am needing a way to get rid of duplicates.  Have merged several databases together an there is no way I can reliably go though the thousands of duplicates by hand and remain sane.  DupChecker doesn't support 2013 and I the fuzzy logic isn't necessary anyway.

Thus I am trying to solve this problem by writing my own plugin which will do a discrete match and merge and will add a note denoting that this has happened.  I have Visual Studio Installed and have the ACT! Assemblies referenced.   However I am having trouble getting over the barrier of getting something loaded by ACT!

I found the ACT! plugin FAQ:
http://community.act.com/t5/ACT-Developer-s-Forum/ACT-Plugin-development-FAQ/m-p/66332

And I also found the very helpful ACT! SDK Training.pdf which has some samples.

http://community.act.com/t5/The-Blog-Vault/ACT-SDK-Training-material/td-p/136

I got the samples to compile but they fail to load.  I am assuming that it is because they were designed for an older version of ACT! and too much stuff has changed.  My understanding that is hasn't loaded because it shows up in

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\ACT\ACT Data\DependentDlls.xml

alongside the module manager... :-P

If I could have some sort of ACT! 2013 HelloWorld plugin that would be great.  Perhaps add a menu entry which says HelloWorld or something.

Thanks,

~Joshua

Re: ACT! Hello World Plugin Request

Did find an ACT! duplication removal wizard compatible with 2013.
