I have done a system restore to settings before the Windows update and no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you for any help!

Re: ACT 2011 PRO will not open

If you right click on the ACT! icon and select Run as Administrator are you able to open ACT!?

No - will not open. We get the same error. Any other suggestions?

I'm not sure it's the best solution but you could try reinstalling since the machines now been through a system restore.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may wait to see if anyone else has any ideas. I'll re-install as a last resort cause it's such a pain.

Re: ACT 2011 PRO will not open

I have a similar situation where a previously working Act! Pro 2011 under Windows 7 Pro with all current updates was working and now will not open - generates a long-winded error message. The logged in profile has Administrator privilege in a workgroup environment. Act! starts okay under the Administrator account. I created a new profile with Administrator privilege and Act! starts and works okay. I would like to hear if anyone knows what might have caused the problem as I'd like to get Act! working under the original profile. Could there be some involvement with MS Outlook 2007?
