Re: New version of Document Tab Previewer

Finally got it working. Funny how it doesn't preview TXT files or JPG files...

Re: New version of Document Tab Previewer

There's a range of preview handlers available out there which you can install which should work with this control.

If you're feeling really adventerous you could even write your own preview handler:

I have tried the Foxit PDF preview handler - works fine, and I thought I saw a text preview handler available for download out there...

Anyone else used any preview handlers they can recommend?

Re: New version of Document Tab Previewer

I was using your document previewer for ACT2008.  I have now upgraded to ACT2011 premium and I can't find a plugin folder to install the handlers.  Is this thread applicable to ACT2011 now or is it done another way?  I really liked the doc preview and it would be disappointing if I couldn't do it in the newer version.

I have office 2010 and windows 7 if that helps.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: New version of Document Tab Previewer

This plugin should work in Sage ACT! 2011.  I'f you've upgraded to Windows 7 and have a 64 bit OS then the default install path is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows

You should see a plugins folder there.

OK, I found the plug in folder, thank you for the help.

I copied the two files over to the folder and when I started ACT, it now has the docs tab divided in half with the view pane on the right hand side like it was in ACT2008.

However, when I click on a document either a word or pdf, it does not show up on the view pane.

Can this handler do office 2010 and the recent adobe reader X (version 10)?
