Attached is a context sensitive LinkedIn Company Widget for ACT 2010. With this control you can see all the contacts in your network who belong to a particular company e.g. If you have a contact called Chris Huffman who belongs to XYZ Corp, then the widget would show all contacts in your LinkedIn network who belong to XYZ Corp.
This control provides an easy way to reach out to the contacts that you may want to connect with if you already have friends in those companies. It is bound to the Company field on the Contact Detail View so make sure you have a company name populated otherwise no results will be shown.
Here's how you can add it to your contact layout just like any other custom control:
1. Unpack the contents of this zip file into your ACT! 2010 <install directory>\Tools folder where all custom controls are housed.
2. Open ACT->Contact Layout Designer and add this new control to your control library - if you don't know how (right click on the left pane and select the control from the popup). The control will be added to the Custom tab.
3. Drag and drop the custom control "LinkedIn Company Widget" onto your contact layout and you should be good to go.
Note: you may have to log in to LinkedIn. The widget will give you a link to login, which takes you to your default browser. Once logged in, the widget remembers your credentials.
The zip file contains a dll and an html file that you need to run this custom control. Please make sure that both files are placed in your Tools folder.

Once you are in the Layout Designer right mouse button on the toolbox and select Customize...
Then select the checkbox next to this control. From there the control should be available under the Custom accordion bar in the toolbox.

Okay. Found it. Created a new Tab in the Company Layout called linkedin. Dragged the component in. (A box with resize handles appeared). Saved the layout. Restarted ACT. Clicked on the the new Linkedin tab and..... Nothing. No prompt to log in. Just white space in the tab area.
So what am I doing wrong?

Am having trouble getting this to work. Have unpacked it into tools folder. Right click on customize and drag widget to the filed. Save the changes;however, when I click on the tab for this widget. I get nothing.
