Re: Dynamic Label Control - Contact view

Thank you.

It appears that the source code was only released for the initial version of the DLL (05-28-201010:57 AM).  I'd love to see the source code for the subsequent releases of the DLL (of which there were a few - 09-30-201005:29 PM, 06-20-201103:18 PM, & 07-24-201110:53 PM).

Specifically the code for the version which works for companies control would be the most helpful.

Re: Dynamic Label Control - Contact view

I ALMOST implemented this excellent control, but my requirement is to make a field change color if its date value is less than todays date. Is this possible ?

Re: Dynamic Label Control - Contact view

You would need to change the source and recompile the control, but the change is pretty easy - just grab the source at

http://community.act.com/t5/Act-Developer-Downloads/Dynamic-Label-Control-Source-Code-Only/m-p/72283...

and change the line:

if (al == value.ToString())

to

if (al <= value.ToString())

That would give you the logic if less than or equal to (just < for less than but not equal to).

Hope this helps.

Re: Dynamic Label Control - Contact view

Thanks for that.

I am not sure how to recompile the source.

Also, how do I incorporae Today's date in the expression ?  I do not want to have to manually change it each day !

Re: Dynamic Label Control - Contact view

To recompile the source, simply load it into a VS solution and rebuild, CTRL+SHIFT+B by default or F5 to debug which will also rebuild the solution once you've made the changes necessary for your project.

The current date can be found by using System.DateTime.Now;

Re: Dynamic Label Control - Contact view

It's the .sln file created when you make a new project in VS.

Thanks for the prompt replies Matthew. Unfortunately, the terminology you are referencing is foreign to me. What is "VS" ?

Re: Dynamic Label Control - Contact view

Apologies. VS is Visual Studio.
