Profile Picture won't save

When I log into the portal and click "edit profile", then try to add a picture, it won't save ... I logged this on the really early beta of this site also

Thanks again for the feedback. I attempted to edit my profile on the portal and I was able to save my picture. Was this on the PC or was this on a device that it was not saving? If it is a device what device is it? What browser are you using?

Are there limits on the size (if so you might mention them)?

The error is:
Profile partially saved.
The following could not be saved: picture was not uploaded

Just tried on IE9...

Said "Just a moment while we try and connect to the server" for 5 mins ... then same error

Tried a much smaller version and then worked

Not sure if it's the size or that the server is a bit flaky - keeps saying "Server Unavailable" for a few seconds ever few page loads and "Invalid JSON received"

Just for interest ... does it use the Profile pic anywhere?

Server stability is fine.  We haven't received any other reports from users having this issue.

 

When I first encountered the JSON error, it was due to damaged notes/histories.  Try unchecking notes and histories from synchronizing and see if that allows you to see all contacts in the portal.

I am currently reproducing the "The following could not be saved: picture was not uploaded" message on firefox 10.0.   Thank you for the feedback and I will update you if I find anything through my testing.

I first reported the Profile Pic issue a couple of years ago ... and they replicated it then too :-(

We were trying to find why we kept getting the "Invalid JSON received from server" error message when we logged in - we looked everywhere for a solution. We had 2 errors with our problem - We were unable to see any of our contacts on the sageactconnect.com site.

 

Error #1: Code:511 error when syncing; Error #2 "Invalid JSON received from server." 

Unchecking the notes and histories box in the manage profile settings with Act Connect, is what fixed it for us.

 

Once we were able to sync just a few contacts, we tried doing the rest of our database and lo and behold, it worked. Thank you for listing the option of unchecking the notes and histories. Also, now that the database has synced properly, we tried checking the notes and histories - and it works now. We saved $99 on an individual incident support call - even though the product costs $79. Wowzers. Thank you!

What were the dimensions of the file that worked and the file that did not?
