When I run a search on my xp side of the computer for 'sage act connect' no files are found. When I go to control panel and go to add/remove programs, no sage act connect program is found. I do see sage act premium 2012. ???

You can log into the Sage ACT! Connect portal at www.sageactconnect.com and download the PC client from the right-hand side of the home page (under the My Desktop section). Then run the installation and setup - instructions for this are in the following Knowledgebase article:
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

Ok it gets as far as setting up synchronisazation for data base and I get this error message.
Violation of UNIQUE KEY constaint TBL_SYNCDB_AKZ cannot insert duplicate key in object dbo.TBL_SYNCDB. The statment has been terminated.

Please look at this Knowledgebase Article http://kb.sagesoftwareonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/28952/kw/28952 to rebuild your pad file. After rebuilding the pad file open ACT! then open Sage ACT! Connect and try to add the database. Let us know the outcome.

Ok. Goto help and about ACT. Then click on Database information. Take note of the path that goes to the PAD file. Close ACT down and go to that location of the pad file. Delete the PAD file (Do Not Delete The ADF file that is the database). Once that is done follow the instructions that I provided below for the section "The Pad File Is Damaged". Then go back and attempt to set up the database to sync with Sage ACT Connect again.

Any suggestions as to how I might proceed. Looks like I now have two data bases? Is that necessary? I would like to test/try act connect as it might be the solution I'm looking for in getting away from double entry into act and then ical. But want to make sure integration works properly before purchasing. I truly appreciate your help.

Bonett1 2 database's aren't necessary but if they contain different information and or contacts that's fine it will not hurt either database. Sage ACT! Connect will not add calendar entries directly to your iPhone Calendar. Only sync the database that you want to see contacts from and or make changes to as you can only sync to one database at a time.
