Calling all History majors!

So I thought it would be fun for us to share interesting factoids about ACT!.

As many of you know, ACT! has been around since 1987, so it has a rich history. Here are a few of my favorites:  

- ACT! was initially developed by a salesperson, who coined the name “ACT!” for Automated Contact Tracking. Did you know that?  

- About 2.8 million people use ACT! for businesses as diverse as cheese-maker, hotel chain, design firm, baseball team, seafood restaurant chain, and real estate agency. ACT! fits almost any business. Do you know of any funny ways people us ACT!? 

- You can find ACT! almost anywhere around the world, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Have you traveled outside of the United States where you’ve seen ACT! for sale? 

- ACT! users are resourceful. The Betty Brigade personal assistant service tracks its clients’ pets, including their name, age, description, and health problems or specific habits.

"Automated Contact Tracking." was actually the 2nd version.

Version 1.0 for DOS was called "Activity Control Technology" and was launced on April Fools Day :-)
