Custom Sub-Entities Sample and Guide posted

Published 10 December 07 11:30 AM

I have posted up in the downloads section a sample solution on custom sub-entities as well as a guide I wrote on using custom sub-entities.

You can find the sample solution and the gude attached.
The sample solution contains a document written by Bill Blakey on what the sample solution is and how the solution is implemented.

The custom sub-entities feature is part of the ACT! 10.0.2 release, which currently is in beta.

This is Brilliant stuff, wanted to know if this custom information is stored in the ACT! database else i am assuming that there would be aspects of Sync that would need to be considered for the overall design.

Yes, custom entities are stored as custom tables in the ACT! database.

They fully support sync, just like other sub-entities, like notes and histories.

You don't have to do anything different to sync custom tables. Once you have cut a remote from a database, the custom tables will sync, just like notes, histories etc...
