It would be really fast, efficient, and user-friendly to implement QUERY BY EXAMPLE functionality throughout ACT.
For example, I go to Contact mode's Detail View, enter "Search Mode", then type into the fields on the Contact form what I want to find (even switching from tab to tab if necessary), then click a "Search Now" button to search for matching records. This would be a much faster way to search for records based on multiple criteria.
THIS IS SOOOO NEEDED!!!!! If you have 100's of contacts and you have gathered either documents or they have sent you information in a file and you can't remember who it was but you remember the content of the document, how would you find this info? You should be able to do a boolean search on documents. Some companies you may have up to 30 contacts w/ attachments form them so it would so much more productive to be able to do a search w/ some key words and boom, there is your list and be able to read it on right hand side or something as you scroll through.
Hope others can use this feature!
Hi-
Wouldn't it be great and not too hard to put a simple on Contact Keyword search.
You click a button, type in the word you are looking for and hit Search. It searches only on the contact you are on. The cursor is then ZIPPED to the word you were looking for. Keep clicking "Find Next" to find word again.
This would be amazing when you have 50 histories and 20 notes on an important client and save SO much time.
