Would it not be a good idea to have a numbering system, so that we could create meaningful quotations, then when a new one is created, it automatically picks up the number ???
I have modified the quote template (difficult) and nearly got it as i want it. noly needs a little refinement to make it useable. I do not use Act for many quotations because of the lack of numbering. I also agree with other posts. we need calculation fields

The quote template in ACT! is very restricted. Far better to have ACT! connect to your accounting software, create a quote in your accounting software from ACT! opportunities and have the accounting software assign the unique ID, the quote being saved into ACT! as well.
We do that with our accounting links for MYOB and QuickBooks.
