
The issue I see is that there are so many ways companies calc this: % of total, % of margin, sliding scales depending on discount, one % till hit target, then a different one, even different calculations for different products, etc...
It's doable in an add-on for a specific set of scenarios, but to add enough options for a majority of ACT! users would make it a really complex feature to use and setup
If important enough, it can be done in a custom add-on with your rules. This doesn't need duplicate info, we are doing one now to apply discounts based on the contact's price level and product
