Opportunity Product Name field should have permission options

The Opportunity Product Name field should have permission options to not allow a Restricted User from inputting their own product name in the field. My company depends on the Part # and not on the product name. Sometimes our sales people are too lazy to type the proper name and so they either input their own product name or even input an extra space in the product name. Thus, a part # never come up when they print out their order forms.

Agreed ...  and add the ability to prevent users from editing the list (like for other drop-downs).

I'd also like to see the Item# and Product Name link enforced. If they put the Item, it changes the Product, but they can then change the Product and leave the Item (and other fields) as they were.
