Would conditional drop-down lists be a step too far?

i.e. the drop-down list that appears in Field A depends on a value in Field B

I like both of these ideas but I think they are 2 separate items here:

1.  Allow a field type or control of calculated field - this should support  numeric calculations as well as string concatenation.

2.  Cascading drop down lists - selection of item B from list 1 resets available values for seleciton in list 2

Is this what you had in mind?

Exactly.

As a financial advisor I joined this community to post a similar suggestion. I am so used to Excel and all its capabilities for formulas. What a logical move for Sage to build in the ability to add calculation options to fields without an added cost add-in. Version 11+ ?

Both great ideas.  These would get my vote.

The reports do support calculations, I do it all the time.

In ACT 2.0 you can insert time use for each task, and have reports to know how many time you spend in a contact or a group of contact.

it can be automatic using timer or you can insert by hand.

This can be include in the idea.

You have my vote.
