Associate With and Share With Should be Editable

It would be nice if the "Associate With" and "Share With" field could be Editable and a "Type-Ahead" feature could be added.  If I know what I want to put into that field without having to open the "ADD/REMOVE" box, why should I be forced to do that?  It could save a lot of time.

Does anyone have any logic as to why it's a read-only field AND why we are forced to open a add/remove form?

I can think of two possibile issue:

1. When the dialog box opens, it would have to read all Companies and Groups to make the type-ahead work. This would slow down the system a lot.

2. What happens with names that are the same for Companies and Groups... the type-ahead would end up causing quite a few issues - maybe more than it would help

When I am in the clear activity window and want to associate or share with, the look up process is different than other dialogue boxes.  As was mentioned above, we should be able to type the first few characters and either see the list scroll or be allowed to hit enter and go to that point in the list. 

When we hit enter, it falls out of the share with dialogue box.
