
Adding fields via the UI (Define Fields) to "Products" doesn't have them show in the Product List
They only showwhen adding a Product/Service to an Opportunity
This means that you can add obvious fields like Tax where this might be different for each product.

I agree that I would like to be able to report on the number of each product sold in a period.
As posted elsewhere my main requirement is to be able to use Opportunity details in a mail merge with a Word document.
