If you export activity duration to Excel, it appears as text e.g.. " 1 hour, 22 minutes", which is not much use if you want to sum the information to find out "how much time did we spend on the phone this month", for example.
Could the duration figure not be exported as hh:mm:sec? This would be more useful for number crunching.

Not sure if seconds are stored, but a macro or a bit of VBA should do that.
There is an additional issue with the time being in the Date field as well as the the Time field.

The problemis that what gets exported from the "duration" column is just text, and nor formatted in a helpful way.

I agree with you... it can be fixed in Excel, but would be better if it was a properly formatted time field
