Act installer

I am installing Act 2008 and get an error message that  an Act7 instance has occured and I need to provide an sa Password (this concerns SQL).

I have never been requested for this before (have been using Act for 10 years)... I have no clue what is needed.  Help?

Has ACT! ever been installed on this machine (any version), if so what version?

 

In the Services via Administrative Tools, is there a listing for the ACT7 instance, if so, is it marked as "started" prior to the install?
