No.2 in a series of 3....

When choosing to make an existing drop-down list non-editable (Tools, Define Fields, Manage Drop Down Lists - select list - untick 'allow users to edit items in list'), this has no effect. Users still see the 'edit list' option at the foot of the list. All manner of ACTDIAGing fruitless....

Pretty sure that this is a known issue.  Not sure, but have you checked on HF 4 to see if it includes fix for this?

Based on the information provided, your issue appears to be associated with a previously reported issue.  This issue is not resolved in hot fix 4, but will be resolved in a future update.
