I'm using ACT 2007 and OL 2003 and for the future need to work through outlook, but want to not only sync my calendar but also the contacts and the notes if possible. Integration with OL address book feature only allows me to view name and email address. How can I sync ACT contacts into OL and have them in a similar format as OL is. From there I'd like to then sync my Win Mobile 6.0 Pocket PC phone and be able to access these contacts.
I know the easiest thing would be to upgrade to ACT 2009, but current users on a project require me to use OL as our central calendar and contact tool.
I know there are add-ons to do this. Any suggestions?

There are some add-on products that are designed for this type of integration. Here a couple you can look at:

Thanks for the input. However both these applications require ACT 2008 ad higher. I have 2007 and currently wish to transfer my contacts from ACT to Outlook. Do you any other suggestions?
Is there a program/process on how to do this or should I contact either of these companies to do a custom transfer?

Take a look at this add-on as well. It says it is compatible with ACT! 2007:

I'm using Act! 2009 v.11. I had no idea I could not synch my Act contacts into Outlook...in fact, I was sure that during set-up, it asked me which way I wanted to overwrite but now I can't find it anywhere.
I can't believe I have to buy a 3rd party add-on like 123 for a couple hundred bucks to avoid having to create each new contact twice...once in Outlook and once in Act. That just can't be right can it?

You can import Outlook contacts into ACT! by going to File/Import and following the steps in the Import Wizard per the following Knowledgebase article:
How to Import Contact Data From Microsoft Outlook into an ACT! Database
You can also export your ACT! contacts to Outlook, but that is a two-step process. The following Knowlegebase article explains this process:
How To Export ACT! Contact Data to Microsoft Outlook
The built-in integration between ACT! and Outlook only includes calendar integration and email integration. Contact synchronization is only available via a third-party addon.

I am curious re: 123 Synchronizer vs. DoubleLook. Does anyone know of a 3rd party review available online of the two, and/or, does anybody have experience with either?
Thanks, Wid

Here's an independent provider that sells both software packages:
T: 1-800-806-5288
You can ask them about their experience.
