I was using a trial version of Act before we purchased the program.
I modified some field names and layouts and imported some sample information.
Now with the real Act Premium for the Web I can not open my sample database, Act file
Thanks

Need a bit more information to be helpful.
The only thing you should have done when going from trial to licensed is just add the license key (Under Help Register) - what else did you do?
What happens when you try to open the database?

I had installed it on a different machine. I copied the database file over. It says to open the .pad file which is 1kb
We installed what is to be the Corporate Version and I am on what we expect to be the server machine. We have 10 lisc and I do not plan to use it on the machine I tried the trial version on.
The version I installed also supports web usage. We do not expect to use the web access but the documentation suggeted we do incase we change our mind.
On 12/24 I will be in the office and can get the exact error message

The datebase Sample (my database name) could not be accessed. In order to access the database, check your network connection and verify your database server is available. It may be neccessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or the server.
The Sample database is on the machine I want to use as a server

ok
I got it fixed. I was trying to open the .pad file I needed to delete that file and just open the .adf file
