so i'm a newbee here, and trying to setup an easy way to track multiple Sales Manager territories/opportunities and have an easy way to sort
and run reports.
since i have 1 user license, anyone can suggest an easy way to setup say 5 Sales Managers and then when opportunities arise, assign them to each and be able to run reports on the opportunties per sales manager ??
i have to support all 5 people and know this is a powerful tool in Sage Act, just trying to get some input from everyone.
thanks !

Best approach would be to use the customisable Opportunity User Fields. You could assign Opportunity Field 1 = Sales Manager. Then do a look up on the opportunities for this Sales Manager. The resulting list of Opportunities could then be exported to Excel for further reporting / analysis.

Thanks Trevor
i will try that, i was hoping for something simple and to use the built in reporting that are nice.

Exactly ! that is the issue, records manager is me and 1 license, hence the need to track multiple opportunities with multiple sales managers.
what i did try to do is run the contact report(create a contact with each sales manager first)
then in the notes add, opportunity size, and next steps.
the sales managers want weekly reports of:
1. Size of opportunity in $ and which products
2. opportunity details
3. who is assisgned next steps(send evaluation, send whitepapers etc..)
4. vendor info
4. contact info
so i'm trying to figure out best way to "view/print" export all this into as many less pages as possible.

Biglou,
Even though you have a single user license, you can add those Sales Managers as users, albeit inactive users - as such, they can't log in, but they appear in drop-down lists for Record Manager. My clients add additional Inactive Users for such things as "Unassigned" etc.
Then you can add opportunities, assign them as the Record Manager, and then run reports that separate them out.
Nothing in the Software license which prevents you from doing this.
