I have suggested this repeatedly.  The more I use ACT, the more I am liking it.

 

But I can't get over every time I go to look someone I have to go through several clicks to get to a lookup field.

 

Then, I have to specify the field is last name when the default is inexplicably first name.

 

So this is every single time I do a look up.

 

Therefore, the addition of  look up field is common sense and long overdue.  Where would Google be if they had

forgotten to put a lookup field/ search bar on their home page?

 

I am glad ACT did it because people kept telling me on this forum why it made sense to not have a Lookup field

in  a contact managment system, which I never bought.
