If you were not using Outlook prior to using Act!, then no reason I suppose.
If you were used to using Outlook before, why have to use something (less useful) else?
Outlook is a better email client because that is what it does. Act! is a better contact manager because that is what it does.
Use the best tool for the job.
(You can do a lot of things with a hammer or a screwdriver - but there are better tools for many things in both cases...)
