Records Deleted in ACT! 2010 Hotfix 2 still exist in underlying tables!

[ Edited ]
Hi;

I have a client who has deleted some 27K blank records in ACT! 2010 Premium for Web that were created when he imported Excel spreadsheet data that had lots of empty rows at the bottom of the sheet that ACT! apparently didn't handle.  When we do a lookup in ACT! the records that were deleted don't show.  However, when we look at the database with SQL Server Management Studio Express using the sa password and query the contact table, we see that the records still exist in the underlying tables.  How do we get it to actually delete them to get the best performance from the database?

Hi Roy;

I did try that before posting - no luck there.

Including the maintenance and repairs available in ACTDIAG?

Yes, I tried it all - I even tried doing a backup and restore, thinking that if ACT! wasn't displaying these phutntoms, perhaps it wouldn't backup and restore them, but no such luck.
