BSOD When Attempting to install Act! Updates

I have an Acer Aspire AM5640 Desktop system running MS Vista Home, SP 1, 4 gigs Ram. I have Act 12 ( version 12.0.409.0 HF3)  and everytime I try to install the Act updates the system crashes with a BSOD. I have formatted the hard drive and reinstalled everythiing and the same thing happens. I even installed a new hard drive and the same thing happens. I also tried to install the Act update manually from the Act website and got the same result.

Acer replaced the motherboard in April and everything else works just great on the system. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this problem? Your help is greatly apprecaited! Many thanks!

Re: BSOD When Attempting to install Act! Updates

Hello Djmarya,

Welcome to the Act! Online Community!

Please see your Private Notes for a link to download the fully updated installation files for Act! 2010 SP1.  Installing with these files will bypass the need to run the Act! Update program.
