Updating databases to Sage ACT! Pro 2013 Version 15.0.301.0

Hi

I have been using the Beta version of Sage ACT! Pro 2013 successfully for the past few months. When I upgraded to the new version it won't update my existing database. It just gives a message that it is "working" but never finishes. Any ideas?

Hello Sean,
Did the upgrade complete, or are you still unable to convert the database? If not, did you receive any error messages?

Hi Greg,

No it never finishes and doesn't give a error. This happens on two different machines.

If the machines are Vista or Windows 7, has User Account Control been disabled? Is the user logged into the machine as a local admin?

Hi Greig,

Use account disabled, user logged in as local admin. I was able to convert my other database no problem.

Open the ACT! Diagnostics utility and see if the database is in the database list. If it is, then run repairs and rebuilds on it. Then try converting it.

Hi Greg,

No luck with that. I used Act Diag 14.0, is that correct. The database was listed and said that it was repaired.

Any more thought on how to upgrade this database? It is an important database to us. It upgraded no problem throughout the beta upgrades. I have backed it up.

This may indicate the database is damaged and unable to convert. Do you have the demo database from the the beta you can test to see if converts?
