Question about logging a call

I am new to Act, just recently converting from GoldMine. I have a question about logging calls. If someone calls me unexpectedly, I can click the "History" Button to record history of the call. However, if I want to follow-up on that call and click the "Follow-up" button, The notes and details I typed in are not automatically carried over. Is there a way to edit this, or is there a better way to record unexpected incoming calls?

Unfortunately manually created history entries will not copy the regarding and details when clicking follow-up.  This has been submitted as a feature request.

Thank you. Do you have any suggestions on how to do this?

 

My scenario is I receive an unexpected call from a client in ACT, and he asks for a quote. I want to note that I received the call and schedule a follow-up. Is there a correct way to do this?
