Print History and Notes in Opportunity Reports

Dear all,

 

I am trying to make an opportunity report including all opportunity History and Notes.

Is this possible in ACT are not?

It seems logical that a salesrep can print an overview of every opportunity.

Yes but you will need to add a sub report or you could get a copy of topline dashboard and it can definately be constructed there in a variety of formats.

 

You could also checkout the regular contact report as this contains a number of sub reports for history and notes so you would need to add this to an opportunity report

Hi Paul, I am referring to the notes & history within an opportuniy.
Not the "regular" notes & history wthin a contact.
Can I print the notes & history within the opportuny also ?

The ACT! reports use predefined data sourcing and the data sourcing hasn't been updated to fully deal with the Opportunities no that they have been promoted to  a full entity. In other words, at present there isn't any way to access the Opportunity Notes and History in an Oppertunity based report. In fact if an Oppertunity isn't linked to a Contact record, it won't be included in an Oppertunity based report.

Use either Stonefield Query or Topline Dash and build your reports form these tools.

Disappointing.

 

And I see this isn't a new request to be able to get an opportunity report that shows the opportunity notes on it either.

So it seems I could use the OLEDB2 provider to get this, but.... educating end users on that.... sigh. sigh again.

 

Does anyone at Sage have an update on when we might expect to be able to do this? That is, get an opportunity report that shows the opportunity notes?

Not in ACT 2013 first release either. Now that the ACT product manager has been replaced we might get this sorted!
