PlugIn works 2009 but not 2008??

[ Edited ]

Hello I have a plugin in 2009 that works great in 2009 using the following:

-------------------------------------------C# 2009----------------------------------------------

//----- Create CommandBar -----

m_objCommandBar = References.ActApp.Explorer.CommandBarCollection.Add("gsdfgsdfgsdf, CommandBarType.Toolbar);

References.ActApp.Explorer.CommandBarCollection.Add(m_objCommandBar, true);

//put button on bar

objCmdBarBtn = new CommandBarButton("Name", "Info", new EventHandler(Button_Hook), "Cmd", Resources.icon, ...ItemDisplayStyle.Img&Txt, true);

m_objCommandBar.ControlCollection.Add(objCmdBarBtn);

---------------------------------------End C# Sample---------------------------------------

But the same code in 2008 testing works mostly...?? The menu displays and the menu options work. The toolbar displays but clicking buttons on the toolbar does nothing. Debugging shows that the event handler never gets called. If someone can tell me what to do differently for 2008 or really it's not your job to hold my hand if you could just point me to 2008 sample plugin I would greatly appreciate it. Code compiles fine referencing 2008 SDK files.

JB

Edit: Saw that you had used 2008 assemblies to build it.

Hope this helps,

PlugIn works 2009 but not 2008 \\--More Information--//

So continuing to track this wierdness down I have found the following. If I reset the toolbars (Tools >> Customize >> Reset Menus & Toolbars) then close & reopen the application everything works for that one session. Then if you close ACT! & reopen the buttons go back to not working until you reset again?

No errors are raised so that to me leads me to think I am doing something wrong but I don't know what it is. The code looks very good compared to samples and it works solid in 2009 so maybee someone else has some additonal information??
