If you open your act six database and click on help and about ACT!, you will see on the right-hand side the number of licenses you have. In reality you should have one license per person. I would also recommend you have an ACT! consultant sets your program up properly and guide you through the process of how you are going to shared data and contacts with other users. This can be done through synchronization or sharing the database.
If this isn't done properly you will have major problems in administering the system and ACT! 6 is so old, you will be spending most of your time maintaining your system. I highly recommend that you upgrade to a new version of ACT! preferably ACT! 2010 or 2009.
