Labels come out black

I know it is the settings on my Lexmark 75 printer that makes the labels come out black.  If I were to buy a used older  printer.  Which manufacturer would work with ACT 6.0.  I am very low usage, only want to make a couple of personal mailings lists.  2 lists with about 30 addresses in each so I really don't want to buy anything too expensive.  I think used might be the answer.  Any suggestions on what manufacturer of printers to buy?

There is a knowledgebase document that provides a workaround for the problem. As far a printers go most HP models will work without any problems.
