I got a new laptop, moved over all my data from the old one and installed ACT! 6 on Virtual XP.  When I open a contact and want to write a letter, I get a message with the above headline saying "Failed to add act.dot template to Word."  How can I correct that so Word, as my dsignated word processor, opens with the name and address of the contact and salutation in letter form like on my old computer?

Do you have Office 2003 (or earlier) installed in the Virtual XP?

Did you install ACT! 6.0 after Office, then patch it to 6.0.3 + the Hotfix for Word 2003
