I just received an email from a company(not a contact) and have no way to attach this to the company. What should I do with this? I cannot attach it to an individual in the company because it does not belong to anyone at the company.

Sage, can you add additional functionality so we could create and attach incoming emails that do not belong to an individual contact? iIf emails come from a company, what should we do with them in order to create a complete company history? Shouldn't contacts and companies be more balanced rather than being MOSTLY contact centered?

Thank you!

Pat

I would like this as well because I would like to use Companies more to help reduce my duplicate records viewing and managing for Mail merges, quotes, taks ect.. by not removing the unique contact records which represents specific locations wiht many details.

Thanks,

JM

I agree with you. I think you can see that we've started looking at breaking the contact centric nature of ACT! in recent releases (Opportunities no longer requiring a contact). Company e-mail is a great example where the interaction and relationship is not contact centered and a slight modification on feature set would help people.

Thanks plenty for suggeting this - I hadn't thought of this one before but I see how this could be used.

Thanks!

Don't forget the red headed step child (Groups). Groups also has emails and should have emails. For example, my baseball team has an email.

P
