Have ACT 2009 and when I email using Microsoft, the first time works just fine; if I want to do a second email I keep getting the following message:

Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID(and then many zeros and few other numbers and letter) from the ICLass Factory failed due to the ff error: 80004005.

Anyone else experiencing this.

Tks,

Jayne

It is very important for you to include the complete CLSID error message in order for us to help.  Please post the entire error message.

Hi

One of our customers has the same error. Here is the full error message:

Creating an instance of the COM component with CSLID {0006F03A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80004005.

Can anyone help us? Thanks

Two things:

1) The error indicates that you don't have sufficient rights to this key (80004005),

a) Run "regedit" from Start -> Run and navigate to the key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0006F03A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\InprocServer32

What is the current file listed value listed here?

2) If you invoke "Detect & Repair in Microsoft Outlook, does that resolve your issue?

thanks

Hi Matthew

Thanks for your help.

The client has the following folders in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0006F03A-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\ directory:

- InprocHandler32
- LocalServer32
- ProgID
- Typelib

In the InprocHandler32 folder there are two files:
- (Standard) with the value ole32.dll
- ThreadingModel with the value Apartment

In the LocalServer32 folder there are two files:
- (Standard) with the path of Outlook as value
- LocalServer32 with a lot of numbers and characters as value.

There is no folder InprocServer32 as you asked for. Does this information help you?

The client with try to repair Outlook as you suggested.

Regards,

Martin

Let's try Detect & Repair, if that doesn't work, we can go from there.

thanks

Matthew,

My response has been delayed more than I expected. One of your emails asked what the current file listed value listed when I tried the regedit:

(Default)       REG_SZ       (Value not set)

Edit Flags   REG_ Binary 00 00 00 00

I also tried your second suggestion of invoking  Detect and Repair in Microsoft Outlook.

I am still having the problem of only being able to send 1 email; then I get that long message HKEY_  etc.

and can't send a second email immediately to someone else.

Thus issue not yet resolved.

Thank you,

Jayne

Let's try this.  From Add/Remove programs in the control panel, select Microsoft Office.  Invoke the repair option from there.  This should fix the damage in the registry as it relates to Outlook.

It may also be necessary to set up the Outlook integration in ACT! after you do this.

thanks,
