I'm running ACT! Premium 2008 v10 and Outlook 2003. I'm trying to figure out how to "port" my ACT! contact records into Outlook. Unless there is an easier way I have figured out I can go into Outlook, open the ACT! Address Book and copy all the records. The problem, however, is that the only data fields that come over are Name, Company, E-mail Address, and E-mail Type. I really need phone number, among other nice-to-haves. Does anyone know how to add fields (e.g. phone number) to the ACT! Address Book for import into Outlook? Also, am I correct that the only way to automatically sync these data sets is to purchase an addon like DoubleLook? Thanks in advance, Joe

You are correct about the synch process. For a one time push from ACT! to MS Outlook the easist way is to export your lookup (with the fileds that you want to MS Excel, resave as a csv file and import into MS Outlook. You may want find an ACT! Certified Consultant that can help you with this at http://www.act.com/partners/acc/. ActSource Jim Fry, ACT! Certified Consultant 952-226-5498 jfry@ActSource.com

Jim - thanks so much for the answer! I was afraid of that, but glad to know the situation. I'm also curious to know if you have any experience/comment on DoubleLook? Is that a worthwhile addon? Does it really work? Thanks again, Joe
